The Public and Private Development Centre (PPDC) UK is proud to announce the formal launch of its Global Philanthropy Initiative. This landmark programme is designed to connect international donors, philanthropic organisations, and individual contributors directly with verified, impact-driven accountability projects across the African continent.
For over a decade, PPDC has been at the forefront of promoting citizen-led monitoring and open governance. However, we've identified a significant gap: while there is immense global interest in supporting African governance, many potential partners struggle to find reliable, grassroots initiatives that can demonstrate clear results and fiscal responsibility.
Our Approach
The initiative focuses on three core pillars:
- Verification & Trust: We rigorously vet local organisations to ensure they meet international transparency standards.
- Capacity Building: We provide technical expertise to help local teams scale their impact.
- Direct Impact Tracking: Donors receive real-time, data-driven reports on how their contributions are transforming justice and transparency systems.
"Accountability is not just about identifying what's wrong; it's about building the systems that make things right. Our UK gateway ensures that global support finds its way to the most effective African solutions."
— Lucy James Abagi, CEO, PPDC
As we expand our reach from London to various African capitals, we invite partners to join us in this journey of radical transparency and sustainable development.
